Coming in 2026: A curated collection of digital art emblems across Luxembourg's cultural sites, created as part of UNESCO's flagship Youth for Peace initiative.
For cultural sites & partners: Join the pilot collection. Get a custom emblem for your location, visibility in the app, and optional QR/on-site activation.
The UNESCO Youth for Peace Luxembourg Passport 2026 is Emblem's flagship collection – launching in 2026, it will feature unique digital artworks representing the most significant cultural, historical, and natural landmarks across the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
Each emblem is created by local and international artists who have personally explored these locations, capturing their essence through digital art. When you collect an emblem, you're not just getting a souvenir – you're carrying a piece of Luxembourg's story with you.
In August 2025, Emblem's founder Daniel Michels was selected by UNESCO's Social and Human Sciences Sector as one of only 50 young leaders worldwide for the inaugural Youth for Peace: UNESCO Intercultural Leadership Programme, chosen from 8,250 applicants across all regions.
This recognition places Luxembourg on the map of global intercultural dialogue and peacebuilding. The Luxembourg Passport 2026 project is being developed within this UNESCO framework, demonstrating how digital art and local stories can contribute to a more peaceful and inclusive world.
The project aligns with UNESCO's mission to use culture, education, and creative expression as tools for social cohesion, offering a concrete example of how technology can bridge cultural understanding across borders.
Unlike traditional souvenirs that end up forgotten in drawers, the UNESCO Youth for Peace Luxembourg Passport is a living collection. Each emblem contains:
Historical context and cultural significance of each location, curated with local expertise and research.
Unique digital art pieces created by artists who understand and celebrate Luxembourg's character.
Part of a global initiative promoting intercultural understanding and peace through creative expression.
Sustainable, portable, and shareable. Your collection lives in your pocket and lasts forever.
